AEEE aims to create a conducive environment for Energy Efficiency financing in India and thereby drive EE integration in all sectors to result in mainstreaming of energy efficiency investments. Based on AEEE pyramid of EE market, AEEE activities advocate for the following :

International EE Financing Protocol (IEEFP)
To create expertise in EE Financing to ensure/ keep track of payback by means of IEEFP, from Efficiency Valuation Organization (EV)) provides guidelines for Local Financing Institutions (LFIs) around the world to evaluate and finance energy efficiency and savings-based renewable projects (Energy Savings Projects or ESPs). It is designed to make LFI personnel aware of commonly-used materials and procedures to help them realize the value of financing ESPs to their customers, the economy, the environment and their own financial institutions. AEEE is now planning to initiate IEEFP awareness programmes in collaboration with EVO for financial institutions in India, which will be followed by training programmes. Financing protocol from the authors of the international standard in efficiency measurement and verification protocols now available at EVO website.
