State Energy Efficiency Index | #SEEI

The State Energy Efficiency Index (SEEI) has been developed by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) in association with Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE). The State Energy Efficiency Index 2020 was launched on 22 October 2021 by Shri Raj Kumar Singh, Honourable Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy, Government of India, in the presence of senior state officials. This year’s Index has 68 indicators covering all demand sectors – buildings, industry, municipalities, transport, agriculture – and DISCOMs.

Green Vehicle Rating | India’s Environmental-Based Vehicle Rating System

Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE) released the Green Vehicle Rating (GVR), India’s only vehicle rating system based on environmental performance, on 14 April 2021. Funded by Shakti Foundation and supported by American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy, the launch of the GVR tool is a critical step towards moving the ever growing 2 and 3 wheeler rider base towards greener options in the country. The tool allows a buyer a model-to-model comparison of the vehicle, the Real Cost of Ownership, damage cost, emissions levels along with commonly sought specifications like mileage, cost, engine capacity etc. To help consumers assimilate the impact, these costs are represented in ₹ per km terms.
