Grundfos Webinar: Multiple VFDs in the Same System

Multiple VFDs in the Same System

Broadcast Live August 16th, 2 p.m. ET
Presented by Grundfos

Controlling one variable speed pump is one thing, controlling two, three or more variable speed pumps is quite another. Many systems today benefit from having two or more parallel connected pumps, primarily as an energy saving measure for systems that have widely varying flow rates. How do we ensure smooth pump control both in terms of meeting overall system performance objectives and optimized energy savings? This webcast will give you some insight on parallel pump control and provide some guidelines so that the right questions are asked of the pump system controls provider.

Participants will learn and/or understand:

  • The principle of parallel pump operation with VFD control
  • How smooth, energy efficient pump sequencing can be achieved
  • Tips on how to avoid set-point overshoot and “hunting”
