Measurement & Verification (M&V) is fundamental to any EE project and an indispensable component of EPCs. Without measuring pre-project and post-project energy use, there is no way of knowing the effect of ECMs and how much energy has been saved. An EPC must clearly indicate the M&V protocol and methods to be used for determining the pre-project energy use, project baselining and adjustments, post-project energy use and energy savings.
AEEE is committed to promoting the use of M&V in all Energy Efficiency projects. AEEE has developed an M&V template to be used with AEEE’s model EPC for energy efficiency projects. AEEE has also developed a M&V application guide for energy efficient street lighting projects in association with EESL, IIEC and World Bank, to help ESCOs, equipment manufacturers and municipalities manage successful implementation of EE projects for street lighting.
AEEE has a partnership with Efficiency Valuation Organisation (EVO) for conducting Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) training in India. The schedule for CMVP training is available on AEEE’s Upcoming Events calendar.
