AEEE has completed another exciting year, continuing its efforts in promoting Energy Efficiency. On 7th November 2011, AEEE completed 3 years since its launch.
Highlights of AEEE activities of 2011:- In 2011, AEEE Membership grew over 40 organizations. Several MOUs and partnerships were also formed
- AEEE programmes in Measurement and Verification (M&V) saw 100% increase in number of Certified M&V Professionals (CMVPs) in 2011. Today there are 65 CMVPs (all certified by Efficiency Valuation Organization) in India, while globally there are about 1500 CMVPs. CMVPs are certified for their M&V skills, especially their knowledge in implementing the Internatioal Perfomance Measurement and Verfication Protocol (IPMVP). In 2011, AEEE conducted the first international M&V and IPMVP Training at Manila, Philippines
- AEEE held focus workshops in key EE thematic areas, in partnership with BEE:

- National Workshop on Waster Heat Recovery
- Workshop on Energy Efficiency of Rotating Equipment
- Workshop on Energy Efficiency in Hospitals and Healthcare Sector

- Partnering with member company Emergent Ventures International (EVI), AEEE and collaborators were awarded the project funded by DFID, British High Commissionon, for Incentivising Improved Energy Efficiency through Advanced Metering Technologies & Associated Management Tools
- Ascertaining AEEE’s skills and strength, the organization won FCRA approval for utilizing a project grant from ClimateWorks Foundation for capacity building of utilities in DSM-Evaluation, Monitoring and Verification (EMV) & Needs Assessment. The project will be held between Jan 2012 – Jan 2013
- AEEE successfully launched one of its kind book, “Energy Efficiency in India: History and Overview”, on 15 Dec-2011
- AEEE actively engaged in various dialogues with national and international agencies for partnership for capacity building and creating EE market transformation. One such dialogue has culminated in AEEE collaboration and activities with the Institute of Sustainable Communities (ISC) for 2012.
- AEEE has successfully continued its webinars series and is now offering the webinar services for organizations in the EE area
- AEEE benefitted from generous support from members in extending their technical resources and interns for AEEE activiites
- AEEE has seen increased volunteering interests and is providing opportunities for resourcesful candidate
