UK DFID & BEE Working Group on Energy Certificates Trading
AEEE collaborated with UK Dept for International Development (DFID)/ British High Commission Steering Group on Energy Efficiency on supporting Govt Of India in implementing the Perform, Achieve and Trade Scheme, along with analyzing the potential of a complementary voluntary trading programme in Energy Efficiency. AEEE recommendations finds the need for effective means of identifying and reporting energy savings from competing technologies and the transparency of the claims of energy savings was fundamental to Energy Saving Certificates trading. Through this dialogue AEEE proposed to establish Norms for Measurement and Verification of Energy Savings for E-Certifications. AEEE was also liaising with US Dept of Commerce (FCS) to build opportunities for Energy Efficiency dialogue with US EE markets.
World Bank-InfoDev on Climate Tech Innovation Centers in India
AEEE inputs on InfoDev's technology innovation in India and brainstorm programs, activities and services that an Indian Climate Technology Innovation Center could provide. InfoDev has a global network of small business incubators which now includes over 290 incubators in 86 developing countries, making it the largest grassroots innovation and technology entrepreneurship community of its kind in the developing world. The network has assisted more than 20,000 companies and helped create over 220,000 jobs worldwide.
To Maharashtra ERC on DSM Programme's guidelines
MERC is one of the forward-looking state Electricity Regulatory Commissions, and fairly accessible to AEEE. AEEE provided consultation to MERC DSM Programme's guidelines for cost-effectiveness assessment based on motivating the Utilities, motivating the consumers, cost-benefit, leakage – the need for measurement & verification, assessing cost-effectiveness, life of the equipments, assessment of negative impact of technologies. In a similar technical capacity AEEE is now working with Collaborative Labelling and Appliances Programme (CLASP) USA and Climateworks for understanding consumer choices and perception based on appliances labelling
