Roundtable Meeting on "M&V in Implementation and Evaluation of Energy Efficiency Programmes", Nov 13th 2009, New Delhi
USAID ECO-III Project in association with Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE), organized the Roundtable on the “Role of M&V in Implementing and Evaluating Energy Efficiency Programs at the National and State Level”. Mr John Cowan, Chair of Efficiency Valuation Organization the developer of International Performance Measurement & Verification Protocol (IPMVP) chaired the the Roundtable. The Roundtable addressed and sought AEEE members opinions and participation to develop a strategy for M&V capacity building with India-specific requirements, and the role that AEEE, ECO-III, and EVO can play in assisting both the public and the private sector.
Roundtable Meeting on “Assessing Clean Energy Deployment Programs & Activities”, Jan 13th 2009, New Delhi
The roundtable meeting was a part of the US DoE team visit to India on “Clean Energy Research and Deployment Initiative”, under the recent US-India agreement for cooperation on clean energy, climate change and food security. AEEE/ECO-III project facilitated the meeting which was guided by Mr S. Padmanabhan of USAID. The meeting brought together various representations from USAID and the US National Labs and prominent stakeholders from India's Energy Efficiency discussions. The meeting focused on “Clean Energy Deployment Program” (CEDP) ( research to be addressed at a separate interest group).
AEEE Roundtable Meeting, Aug 28th 2009, Bangalore
The Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE) in association with its founder members Schneider Electric CONZERV India Pvt Ltd., Schneider Electric India Pvt Ltd, Thermax Limited and Grundfos Pumps India Pvt Ltd. organized a Roundtable on 28th August’09 at Hotel Chancery Pavilion, Bangalore. Dr Ajay Mathur, Director General, Bureau of Energy Efficiency was the Guest of Honour and he addressed an elite gathering on Government’s strategy for Energy Efficiency and Climate Change. AEEE Chairperson Ms Hema Hattangady welcomed the audience. The roundtable brought together about 85 dignitaries from all over India. The event saw various case studies from AEEE member companies and partners.
AEEE Hosts a Dinner Meeting with Team of Energy Efficiency Experts from California
The CEOs of AEEE Member Companies organized a Dinner Meeting with Dr Arthur Rosenfeld, Commissioner, California Energy Commission and the Team from CEC and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, USA on 4th March. Dr. Art Rosenfeld, considered by many to be the Father of Energy Efficiency in the US. The high level delegation of policy makers from California was led by Commissioner Dr. Arthur Rosenfeld of the California Energy Commission and by Commissioner Dian Grueneich of the California Public Utilities Commission, visited Delhi in early March. Dr. Rosenfeld and Dian Grueneich are renowned energy efficiency experts and policymakers spearheading California’s Energy Efficiency programs and policies, (Art Rosenfeld was awarded the Enrico Fermi award by US Govt. for his lifetime contributions to energy efficiency policy and research.
