AEEE jointly with Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), and supported by Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation (SSEF) would be organizing the second Workshop on promotion of ESCO-EPC Model contact and templates to scale up energy efficiency in India. AEEE’s regional partners are Centre for Study of Science, Technology & Policy (cSTEP), Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC), and National Productivity Council (NPC), Bengaluru as the Industrial Efficiency Partner.
Takeaways from the workshop
- Overview of ESCO Performance Contracting methods and approaches. Review of project components such as risk management strategies, conflict resolution and M&V plans, as well as the technical, financial and business implications of the same.
- Methods to increase the adoption of M&V as a means for the successful delivery of the energy efficiency projects in industry and SME sectors.
- ESCOs, consultants, SMEs and industry representatives are trained across the country to enable wider acceptance of ESCO business and contracting models.
- Financing community led by SIDBI and its techno-economic partner Indian SME Technology Services Ltd (ISTSL) along with other banks and institutions would gain a higher appreciation of the risks, and approaches to risk mitigation, conflict resolution, and how to ensure the success and high returns from ESCO projects.
Target Audience
ESCOs, EE Consultants, State Designated Agencies, power distribution companies (DISCOMs), BEE accredited energy audit firms, industry associations, industrial units, small and medium enterprises (SME) willing to execute energy efficiency projects on ESCO mode, legal firms and entities, banks and financial institutions interested in investing in secure energy efficiency projects.
